The HCQC Alumni Association represents past students from two of Barbados’ foremost secondary institutions, Harrison College (HC) and Queen’s College (QC).

In 2020, the group endeavoured to produce a commemorative anniversary piece, highlighting alumni in Barbados and in the diaspora extended across Canada, the United States and the U.K. We designed the final product, an expansive coffee table book compartmentalized into four substantial sections. Sections 1 and 2 covered content like the book’s conception, HCQC icons, and committee and awardees of the adjacent HCQC’s Night of Star’s Gala 2021. While Section 3 delved into the history of both schools and segued into biographies from their national and international alumni in varied industries, Section 4 spotlights political luminaries and war veterans of past HCQC, as well as past Night of Stars awardees.

 As the publication designers, we utilized school colours and complimentary hues to help structure the extensive content, strategically inserting school-day memories, photographs and articles throughout.
